Hi, I'm Jennifer, owner and lead designer at Petals a floral design firm in Boulder, Colorado.  Along with my husband and two children, I  grow my own organic blooms using the greenest and most sustainable processes available.

This blog is where I explore topics from floral design, wedding planning, organic farming and gardening, sustainable living, and our family's quest to find the perfect farm!

I'm so glad you are here!

Historic Holidays - Farmhouse Florals

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

As some of you may know, our owner and lead designer was, in a previous life, an historian. So when the Boulder Historic Society asked her to design one of the historic homes for the Holiday Parade of Homes, she almost HAD to say yes...Then they mentioned that the theme was Farmhouses in Winter....Ummm...FTF! Farmhouses are our favorite!

We were thrilled to work with Summer Dog Farm to design a classic Christmas scape. Our design involved over 70 feet of fresh evergreen garland, over 200 roses, and at least 6 dozen white hydrangeas. Our flower cart made it out for the event, our resident baker The Little Peach brought cake, and Regina Mountjoy did photos!

How cute is the cart filled to the brim with brown paper packages?

Soooooo many roses!

Can't forget the tree!

We adorned it with the loveliest white roses, the perfume from the roses--

mixed with the fresh evergreen tree--was magical.

And no event is complete without cake!

It was a magical couple of days, a great way to kick off the holiday season,

and a chance to support the important work of the

Boulder Historic Society.

If you didn't catch us at the Holiday Parade of Homes you can always catch us online or even order up your own little slice of floral heaven (or cake, we now offer flowers AND cake!). Drop us a line or give us a ring, we'd love to bring you something stunning!
